Amarillo Sky (93+) produced an electric round of jumping, one befitting a two-miler, such was his speed and accuracy over every obstacle. That stood him in good stead as he made much of the running before fending off a persistent challenge. His future looks to lie over shorter trips.

Gars De Sceaux (96+) showed plenty of pace when bursting clear on the run-in to win going away, having overcome a serious blunder at the penultimate fence. That error would have stopped most horses in their tracks, ensuring this performance, in a race that has produced Andy Dufresne and Sporting John, has to be considered very exciting for his future.
