Tolworth winner Tahmuras another fine example of pointers' versatility

Last Saturday's Tolworth Hurdle was the latest in a series of good advertisements for Irish point-to-point graduates in important novice hurdles in Britain.

The Paul Nicholls-trained Tahmuras, who made it three from three over hurdles by winning the Grade 1 Sandown event, started his career with Donnchadh Doyle, landing a four-runner maiden first time out at Ballingarry in May 2021.

Young Irish point-to-pointers come in all shapes and sizes and can be effective on different types of ground and over a wide range of distances.
