Five-winner weekend haul for Jamie Codd and first treble for Michael O'Sullivan
The Farmaclaffley track is one of the toughest point-to-point circuits in the country, with a stiff uphill finish providing a serious test of stamina, and it made for good racing at the Tynan & Armagh meeting last Saturday.
Jamie Codd was at the centre of the action, riding three winners, which he followed up with a double at Tinahely on Sunday. He's made a brilliant comeback from injury and it's great to see.
Jamie's first winner was Silver In Disguise, who rewarded Alan Ahern for making the long journey to the northern meeting from Cork. The Sulamani gelding, who had run twice before Christmas, showed plenty of stamina in beating the Donnchadh Doyle-trained Go Whatever in the five-year-old geldings maiden.
