Sunday’s fixture at Dowth Hall brought out the crowds on a glorious day, and provided fantastic entertainment, with a huge range of activities designed to make the Meath & Tara meeting a unique day of family entertainment.

I took the family and we had a fabulous day after negotiating one major negative.

Unfortunately, the occasion was a victim of its own success, leading to problems with traffic, access to the track, and car parking. We were in a queue of cars before the first race, and didn’t get parked until after the third race.
