Denis Murphy continued his impressive run with four-year-olds as Palmers Hill improved on his Oldtown third to Tattersalls Cheltenham sales record-breaker Flemenshill to score in impressive style in the Dennison Commercials four-year-old maiden.

The Gold Well gelding, who had been ten lengths adrift of the £480,000 purchase last month, was in a different class to his rivals here as he ran out a wide-margin winner under Jamie Codd.

The winner, who is related to Lou’s Coole Girl, a winner of a bumper and over hurdles for Edward O’Grady, finished 20-lengths ahead of runner-up Sad Eyed Dylan.
