Mick Goff's well-related newcomer Clondaw Secret benefited from a confident waiting ride to win the first division of the four-year-old geldings’ maiden on his debut.

Clondaw Secret, a brother to Willie Mullins’ former 142-rated hurdler Clondaw Court, mastered Champagne Gold from the last to strike by two lengths.

“He was one of our nicer four-year-olds from last season, but he didn’t run. He’s still a big raw horse but has been working well at home,” said Goff.
