Blackwater-based trainer Denis Murphy celebrated his first four-year-old success of the year with the victory of Brooksway Fair in the four-year-old maiden under Jamie Codd.

The son of Mahler and Orby’s Legend had the race to themselves from two out after the other eight runners either fell, were brought down or pulled up.

It was on the approach to the final fence that Codd urged Brooksway Fair upsides his solitary rival before the duo pulled clear to win by two lengths.
