Details have been released on the Barbury International point-to-point which is to be staged on Saturday, January 14, 2017. It will be the first British point-to-point at which horses will be permitted to run using a current Irish hunter certificate.

The seven-race card, organised, by the newly formed Barbury International Racing Club, will be staged at the Wiltshire venue, 40 miles east of Bristol, which holds one of Britain’s premier eventing competitions, the Barbury International Horse Trials, and is home to leading trainer Alan King.

The fixture will feature three maidens, including a 2m4f four- to six-year-old maiden, a similarly age-restricted contest for mares over the same distance and an open maiden.
