Aloneamongmillions stands out from the crowd as a top hunter chase prospect
The highlight of my weekend was winning Gowran's prestigious Tetratema Cup on Aloneamongmillions for Sam Curling in the colours of Tessa Foreman, completing a good day for his trainer who captured the mares' open at Ballycahane with Longhouse Music, her 20th win of a 36-race career in points.
Aloneamongmillions put in a good round of jumping to beat a strong field, including several experienced campaigners. His fellow seven-year-old Some Man was second, finishing well clear of the remainder.
I like the way the Mahler gelding has come through the traditional point-to-point route to hunter chases. A faller in a British point on his only start at five, he started off for Sam with a maiden win at Ballyragget on St Patrick's Day last year.
