We have just witnessed such a vintage period for superlative feats that some of them have failed to qualify for the following list of the top 12 record-breakers of 2017.

For instance, 200-1 shot Killahara Castle became the longest-priced winner ever in Ireland at Thurles this month, ten-year-old World Trophy Stakes victor Take Cover became the joint-oldest Group winner, and wonder stallion Galileo set yet another earnings record.
