Cesarewitch king Silvestre de Sousa snapped up for big-race gamble Vis A Vis
Cesarewitch king Silvestre de Sousa has been bagged for the ride on the gambled-on Vis A Vis as trainer Neil Mulholland put the finishing touches on his plan to make off with Saturday's £500,000 handicap.
The champion jockey has won Newmarket's famous stamina test for the last two years and teams up for the first time with the the four-year-old, who has won on both starts since joining Mulholland from France earlier this year and was on Tuesday backed into a top-priced 12-1 (from 16). He is set to carry 8st 9lb.
"We've had the Cesarewitch in mind for Vis A Vis for a long time," Mulholland said. "We're very happy with him.
