Celebrating a champion: Tiger Roll and Gordon Elliott pose with copy of new book
It's not every day you get your own book, let's be honest.
Tiger Roll's unique achievements on the racecourse have become the stuff of legend and, as well as two Grand National trophies among a host of other big-race prizes, the nine-year-old now has his own book.
Tiger Roll: The Little Legend, recently published by Racing Post Books and priced at £20, charts the illustrious career of one of jump racing's most popular horses.
Tiger Roll: The Little Legend, edited by Andrew Pennington and priced at £20, is out now
Owned by Gigginstown House Stud, masterfully trained by Gordon Elliott and superbly ridden by Davy Russell and Keith Donoghue, Tiger Roll is now a household name, and in 2019 became the first horse since Aintree immortal Red Rum to win a second consecutive Randox Health Grand National – a feat that followed a remarkable fourth success at the Cheltenham Festival.
Elliott, posting on Twitter, said: "Thanks @RacingPost for sending us a copy of Tiger's book. Plenty of memories for him to look back on!"
The story of the diminutive Tiger Roll, who is being aimed at a record-breaking third Grand National according to Elliott, is told in the book, packed with on-the-day words and pictures mined from the extensive archive of the Racing Post.
