Our racing tips for the Tote Alleged Stakes at Curragh this Saturday

White Birch

The John Murphy-trained four-year-old looks the class act of the field and can make a winning start to his campaign. He had some high-class form during his Classic year, including finishing third behind Auguste Rodin in the Derby as well as being beaten just a neck in the Dante Stakes. He also made a winning start last year in the Ballysax Stakes on heavy ground, so a 210-day break will be no issue and testing conditions are in his favour.

Crypto Force

This high-class colt could be one of the dark horses of the season as bids to make a winning return following a 560-day absence. Owned by Amo Racing, the son of Time Test has not been seen since winning the Group 2 Beresford Stakes at this track in September 2022, and has since switched to the care of Adrian Murray. He has a tough task on his return, but he was a top-class juvenile who even managed to beat Auguste Rodin on his debut.

Helvic Dream

While he looks to be Noel Meade's second string, Helvic Dream loves heavy ground and could outrun his odds. The seven-year-old is a three-time track winner, including over course-and-distance, and all of them have come on soft or worse including in the 2021 Tattersalls Gold Cup. A heavy-ground hurdle winner this winter, he makes a quick return after disappointing at Fairyhouse a week ago, but will be race-fit against his returning rivals.
