Who to look out for at the Dublin Racing Festival

You've signed up to one or more betting accounts and have been given your free bets. Now is the time to find winners at the Dublin Racing Festival.

Willie Mullins is likely to dominate the Dublin Racing Festival this weekend, with an embarrassment of riches at his disposal in all of the Grade 1 contests.

One such superstar is Lossiemouth,  who is favourite for the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, so unsurprisingly heads the market for the Grade 1 Spring Juvenile Hurdle on Saturday. The Susannah Ricci-owned grey filly has been wildly impressive in two starts for Mullins and should prove hard to pass.

Appreciate It and Dysart Dynamo head the betting in the Grade 1 Irish Arkle Novice Chase. It's tough to look beyond this pair of big names from the Closutton stable , who have shown strong form over fences thus far.

The Grade 1 Irish Gold Cup is the standout event of the weekend and Galopin Des Champs is expected to stroll to victory following four wins from five starts over fences. A reproduction of his effortless 13-length triumph in the Grade 1 John Durkan Memorial Chase at Punchestown in December would easily suffice, cementing his favourite's tag for the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Final Orders is a notable handicap chaser progressing through the ranks. He could defy another rise in the weights at 4.10. The bumper to conclude Saturday's action is a must-watch race. Three out of the previous five winners have subsequently won at the following month's Cheltenham Festival.

Sunday's meeting is once more stacked with talented Willie Mullins runners, including Blue Lord, Gaelic Warrior and Supreme Novices' Hurdle favourite Facile Vega. They are likely to be the bankers for punters on day two.

The Leopardstown patrons are set to be treated to a spectacular Grade 1 Irish Champion Hurdle (3.10), featuring a trio of top-class jumpers. Wondermare Honeysuckle seeks an incredible fourth successive victory in the race but has questions to answer after a lacklustre reappearance third. There won't be a dry eye on track if she can return to her brilliant best. Highly progressive Grade 1 winners – State Man and Vauban – will likely prove to be stern opposition, with preference for the latter after an eyecatching effort at this venue in December.

Gordon Elliott has a strong chance of notching a big Sunday winner, with Mighty Potter in the novice chase over 2m5f. In the big-field handicap hurdle at 4.10, All Those Years is an obvious candidate for a trainer who often targets this race. Despite the gelding's advancing years, he's relatively unexposed over hurdles and must be noted for a strong run. His chance is boosted by the owner's strong record in the event, too, having bagged this prize four times from the previous seven runnings.

However you play this weekend's superb array of jumping action from Leopardstown, make sure you take advantage of the generous bookmaker welcome bonuses above.
