All the latest news and updated going reports for today's racing
It's to concentrate on today's racing with Newmarket's sweet box of a three-day meeting and the two days at Chantilly at arm's reach.
There is a Listed race, the Foundation Stakes at Goodwood, among a hotbed of Class 5 and 6 races. It has tempted a reticent Meydan winner out with Godolphin's Promising Run, not seen for 207 days, taking on Group 3 Rose of Lancaster winner Frankuus, who seems to love Haydock and Chantilly more than anywhere else but has to settle for a halfway house geographically.
Scotland has been starved of racing if not rain so fingers crossed Perth, even though it is jump racing not the lost Flat fixtures of Ayr and Hamilton, can bring some sunshine north of the border.
If all else fails there is trusty old Kempton to take us into the dark.
