All In The Race campaign launches with mission to 'unite everyone in the sport'
A new social media campaign aimed at highlighting the diversity and inclusivity of British racing has been launched with the aim to “unite everyone in the sport”.
The ‘All In The Race’ programme is the work of the Diversity in Racing Steering Group (DiRSG) and features a minute-long video showcasing the breadth of diversity in racing both on and off the course.
The likes of BHA chief executive Julie Harrington, Frankie Dettori, Michael Owen and Khadijah Mellah appear in video alongside other racing professionals, racecourse personnel, media figures, racegoers and members of Ebony Horse Club.
Susannah Gill, DiSRG chair, said: “The All In The Race campaign aims to unite everyone in the sport on the progress we are making in improving the inclusivity of the sport, and the huge opportunity this provides for the future of British racing. We hope the racing community will embrace the campaign and support it across social media.
“With so many other brilliant people, initiatives and organisations across the sport, the Diversity in Racing Steering Group will continue to work to fulfil our vision where British racing is a diverse and inclusive sport in which everyone has the opportunity to achieve their potential and where fans from all communities feel welcome.
“We are all part of making this vision a reality and the whole sport will tangibly benefit as a result, as is demonstrated by the All In The Race campaign.”
Alongside the video, the All In The Race campaign is set to focus on three core messages targeted at encouraging the best talent into the sport, supporting new and innovative ideas and ensuring everyone feels welcome within the industry be it at the races or away from the track.
