MULVEYS CHAMP can make a winning return to six bends tonight at Romford in the first of four opens on the card at 7.49, live on PGR.

Ron Peckover’s A1 performer has struggled for a clear run on home soil at Yarmouth in recent outings, but this step back up to 575m for a maiden stayers’ contest can enable him to get off the front and enjoy a smoother passage.

The start will prove crucial in the 225m contest at 8.07 and Debbie Hurlock’s Rebel Elizabeth can get the better of moderate graded opposition.

Paul Young’s Bubbly Crusader chased home kennelmate and Golden Sprint champion Bombay Buck when last seen at London Road and can return to winning ways when he drops in class at 8.24.

The lightly raced April 2023 whelp recently returned to action following a layoff and won nicely in 24.20sec two starts back. He is capable of better and has the early firepower to cut loose over 400m.

The Dave Mullins-trained Zenith Impact suffered a rough ride at Central Park last month but her trial last week suggests all is well and she is another class-dropper fancied to score over 575m at 8.41.
