After a title triumph last week and a runner-up placing in Tokyo last month, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova could be forgiven for not putting in her absolute all in the Kremlin Cup this week and her fellow Russian Daria Kasatkina would seem to have a decent chance of upending her compatriot.

Kasatkina, one of the brightest young players on the WTA Tour, would have had a chance anyway of causing problems for Pavlyuchenkova, but with the Hong Kong Open champion possibly jaded after her Far East efforts, the the balance is tipped even more in favour of her opponent.

The fact that Pavlyuchenkova is six years older than Kasatkina would normally count for something, especially in an indoor event such as the Kremlin Cup.

But Kasatkina is no stranger to downing higher-ranked players and her preparations could be some way ahead of those of her busy opponent.

The ATP Stockholm Open is being shown live on FreeSports and Sweden's talented Ymer brothers could test their experienced opponents.
