England are 4-6 favourites to win the Rugby World Cup in Japan after stunning New Zealand 19-7 in the first semi-final in Yokohama.

Eddie Jones's men blasted out of the blocks with outside centre Manu Tuilagi scoring a try in the second minute.

Their performance never let up as they beat the back-to-back champions in all facets of the game, particularly the set-piece and breakdown.

Two more Red Rose tries were ruled out by the TMO and they was also a wide England drop-goal attempt and a couple of missed penalties.

The mighty All Blacks, scoreless at half-time for the first time since 1991 and trailing 10-0 at the break, barely threatened the whitewash in the whole 80 minutes, so determined and disciplined was the England defence.

Their try, from flanker Ardie Savea to make the score 13-7, came direct from a rare botched line-out on the England five-yard line and was responded to with an immediate surge that yielded comforting points from the boot of George Ford.

Tuilagi, who dived over from a close-range ruck, had been 22-1 to score the first try for England, who had been 5-2 to stun Steve Hansen's side and reach next Saturday's final against Wales or South Africa back in Yokohama.

England had been 9-2 third-favourites to lift the Webb Ellis Cup for a second time at the start of the tournament and before their semi-final success.
