Sunday's Olympic Games predictions: Vincent Luis value for triathlon gold
Adam Peaty hot favourite in breaststroke final
Three things to watch out for in the Olympic Games on Sunday.
Best bet
Vincent Luis to win men's triathlon
1pt 10-3 general
Vincent Luis was crowned World Champion in 2019 and he looks worth supporting in a competitive heat. The Frenchman was extremely strong on a variety of courses at the end of the year and he can take gold.
Peaty a warm order for gold
Swimming 3am Monday
Olympic Gold medallist in 2016 and current 50 and 100-metre world record holder Adam Peaty safely navigated the heats and he lines up in the final of the 100m breaststroke in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
The British swimmer is 1-18 to add to his gold medal of five years ago and he has also won two world titles in the meantime.
Daley set for fourth Olympic appearance
Diving 6am Monday
Staying in the pool, Tom Daley seems to have been on the world diving scene forever and the Plymouth plunger embarks on his fourth Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Daley teams up with debutant Matty Lee in the men’s 10m synchro, the same event in which Daley and Daniel Goodfellow claimed a bronze in Rio five years ago.
Time for Jonny to go it alone
Triathlon 10pm Sunday
Alistair Brownlee failed to make the British Olympic triathlon team, but younger brother Jonny is in action late tonight.
Jonny has twice finished behind his elder sibling in London 2012 and Rio 2016 and the 31-year-old is 13-2 to win gold and 13-8 to earn a medal.
