Golden State at Toronto

Sky Sports Arena & Mix, 1am Monday

Toronto have struck first in the quest for NBA glory but Golden State can level up the series at the Scotiabank Arena.

Pascal Siakam had the game of his life in Game One on Thursday night with 32 points, eight rebounds and five assists, completely upstaging Draymond Green.

The Raptors also kept the Warriors to just 43 per cent from the field. Punters need to ask themselves if that’s likely to happen again.

Certainly the Dubs looked rusty after a long layoff and were made to look uncomfortable. That Toronto managed that while Kawhi Leonard had a quiet night by his standards says plenty about the team ethic of the Canadian franchise.

For the first time in the past couple of weeks the defending champs also looked like they miss Kevin Durant. They had gone 5-0 in his absence and the two-time MVP won’t be around for Game Two either, but again tweaks will be made.

Golden State are all about scoring power yet only two Warriors made it past ten points on Thursday. It seems unlikely that will happen again.
