NBA All-Star Game preview

King James is back in his home state and all set to prove that when it comes to the All-Star Game he's in a league of his own.

LeBron James has a perfect 4-0 record since captains were invited to assemble the All-Star rosters and he can go 5-0 against Team Durant, especially as Team Durant doesn't actually contain its captain.

Kevin Durant is working his way back from knee surgery so will merely keep a watching brief over Joel Embiid and Ja Morant, the superstars he's hoping can give Team LeBron a workout in Cleveland.

James's roster is mouthwatering. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Steph Curry, Nikola Jokic and Chris Paul are crowd-pleasers to a man, and even though this is the final act of basically a fun weekend to celebrate all that’s good in the NBA, these guys want to win.

There'll be no defence, loads of showing off and you wouldn't dream of having a big bet on a game that will also finish early because of the 'Elam Ending'. That sets a cap on the winning score at 24 points more than the leading team has at the end of the third quarter.

The Elam Ending might also make you consider under 320.5 points except, of course, that, as stated, no one does any defending.

The 5.5-point spread still invites a bet on Team LeBron, who can win this at a canter.

And if they do, and given that we're in Cleveland where Ohio native James led the Cavs to their greatest of days not so long back, he's got to be the man to claim MVP honours, which would be for a fourth time, incidentally.
