Fenerbahce have stolen home-court advantage against Istanbul rivals Anadolu Efes in the Turkish Super League final but that doesn’t mean Zelko Obradjovic’s men should be considered good things for a ninth title in the last 14 seasons.

Fener must have thought the series was theirs after winning game one 73-56 at Sinan Erdem on Saturday.

They restricted Anadolu to just four points in the third quarter in as good a paralysing defensive effort as you will see.

But chastened by that shocker in front of their own fans, Anadolu hit back on Monday, Serb star Vasilije Micic leading the way with 30 points as the regular-season table-toppers bounced back in overtime.

So it’s 1-1 heading to the Ulker Sports & Event Hall, where Fener are pretty much unbeatable.

They go off 3-7 shots, yet the smart bet could be to back the visitors to cover a 5.5-point spread at 5-6.

Games between these power­houses have been tight all season and Anadolu’s defeat at the weekend was their first domestic loss in 2019.

They beat Fener in the regular season, defeated them again in the EuroLeague semi-final in Spain last month and overcame them again on Monday.

They will not be daunted by their opponents and apart from one bad quarter, there has been nothing between the sides.
