Justin Rose leads the US Open after the first round at Pebble Beach, the pre-tournament 28-1 chance carding a six-under-par 65 at the famous California venue.
Benign conditions allowed Rose to make merry in the afternoon and the Englishman will be out early in round two bidding to increase his advantage.
