Preview

Rangers had the Scottish Premiership title wrapped up in March but there are still some milestones for Steven Gerrard's side to reach when they host Aberdeen on the final day of the season.

The Gers have the opportunity to reach the 100-point mark with just a draw against the Dons. Gerrard’s men also have the chance to make it a perfect 19 wins from 19 top-flight home matches and perhaps the biggest incentive of all is that Rangers can make it an invincible season if they avoid defeat at Ibrox.

Those enticements should prove plenty of motivation for the long- since crowned Scottish Premiership champions and the Gers look up to giving Aberdeen a 1.5-goal Asian handicap start.

Rangers were extremely impressive 3-0 winners at Livingston last time out and prior to that they hammered their Old Firm rivals Celtic 4-1 at Ibrox.

The Gers have managed 23 shots at goal in their last two matches and they are likely to get plenty of opportunities against Aberdeen.

The Dons have shown signs of improvement under new boss Stephen Glass, but they were beaten at home by Hibs in the Premiership on Wednesday and they suffered a 3-0 hammering to a poor Dundee United side in the Scottish Cup not long before that.

Scotland’s dominant force look ready to end the season in style.
