Maxwel Cornet faces a late test on a thigh injury, while Ashley Barnes, Connor Roberts and Dale Stephens are still unavailable.
Match preview
Steven Gerrard has settled in well at Aston Villa and he should be confident of continuing his decent start at the helm against Burnley.
There was Covid-19 in the camp earlier in the week but that did not stop them claiming a 2-0 win over former boss Dean Smith's Norwich on Tuesday and they deserve to be respected as their only defeats under their new manager have come against Liverpool and Manchester City.
Four wins in six matches is solid form and they can expect to make headway against Burnley, who have had a midweek off after their game against Watford was postponed.
The Clarets have kept just one clean sheet in their last nine matches on the road and, as Villa have scored at least twice in four of those games under Gerrard, it is worth supporting them to do so again.
