The qualifying battle in Group E is going down to the wire and Slovakia will be looking for a fast start as they seek to leapfrog Hungary and Wales into second place.
The Slovaks can advance if the clash in Cardiff between the sides currently in second and third place ends in a draw and they beat the group's bottom side Azerbaijan.
Slovakia scored three goals in the first half-hour when the sides met in Baku in June, and they will be keen for something similar to heap the pressure on the pair playing in the Welsh capital.
They ran out emphatic 5-1 winners with classy attacking midfielder Marek Hamsik scoring twice and they should once again have too much quality for the Azeris, who have picked up only one point in seven matches in the group.
They were flattered to lose only 2-0 to Wales on Saturday as the Dragons fired in 20 attempts at goal and their defence, which has been breached within the first 11 minutes in four of their last five qualifiers, could be under more early pressure against the motivated Slovaks.
Stakes are best kept to a minimum elsewhere with plenty of short-priced favourites on the coupon and the possibility that some sides will be in experimental mode before next summer's tournament.
One of the more appealing betting games looks to be North Macedonia's tie with Israel with both sides going into Group G's final matches with identical records of 11 points from nine games.
Both countries have a spot in March's playoffs to look forward to thanks to the Nations League and will be looking to find some form.
The home side look worth siding with in the draw-no-bet market having picked up a point when the sides met in Beersheba.
They were competitive despite losing on the road to the section's top two sides - Poland and Austria - in their last two games.
A reproduction of the level of form they showed when beating Slovenia in their most recent home game should be enough against an Israel team whose form has tailed off, with only one win in their last six matches.
