Wales can ill afford to lose both matches of their away double-header in Euro 2020 qualifying and Ryan Giggs's side can bounce back from the disappointment of defeat in Croatia by obtaining a positive result in Hungary.

The 2-1 defeat in Croatia will have hurt Wales because it was mainly self-inflicted and they were two down before substitute David Brooks gave them late hope with a goal off the bench.

Giggs insists Brooks was not fit enough to start but he should be fine to be in from the first whistle for this contest and the same is true of fellow substitute Ethan Ampadu.

Those two Premier League players will make a massive difference to the Welsh side, adding further quality behind the front three of Manchester United-bound Dan James, Liverpool's Harry Wilson and Gareth Bale of Real Madrid.

Wales had started their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign with a 1-0 win over Slovakia and they are good enough to justify favouritism against Hungary, who beat Croatia and Azerbaijan following a poor 2-0 loss to the Slovaks.

Leipzig pair Peter Gulacsi and Willi Orban are two of the bigger names in the squad and it was defender Orban who came up with two vital goals in Azerbaijan on Saturday.

That took Orban's international tally to three, making him the fourth-highest scorer in the squad behind Balazs Dzsudzsak, Adam Szalai and four-goal forward Krisztian Nemeth.

Szalai is arguably the man Wales need to keep most in check, although keep an eye out for Salzburg teenager Dominik Szoboszlai if he starts.

The teenage playmaker, who has been linked with Juventus, Bayern Munich, Inter, Arsenal and Ajax, was substituted in Baku, where Szoboszlai's replacement, David Holman, notched on his international debut.
