Match preview

David Wagner has steered Norwich to back-to-back wins since arriving at Carrow Road but his honeymoon period may come to an end when Championship leaders Burnley come calling on Saturday.

Norwich have made immediate and eyecatching progress under their new manager, but they are falling well short of pre-season expectations and have work to do if they are to secure a top-six finish.

There has been a noticeable increase in intensity in the Canaries' recent successes at Preston (4-0) and Coventry (4-2), and Wagner will be hoping for more of the same in his first home game at the helm.

Norwich have grown in confidence but they face a tough task against the Championship leaders, who are chasing a ninth successive league victory.

Burnley will be prepared for a difficult game but they passed a significant test 13 days ago, winning 2-1 at home to West Brom, and can add another three points to their tally.

Key stat

Burnley have won their last eight Championship games.
