Competitive Rotherham may fall just short in bid to beat the drop

Tight budget means Millers could still struggle to muster enough wins

Rotherham have improved considerably since finishing bottom of the Sky Bet Championship in 2016-17 but they still face a tough battle to avoid the drop in 2019 and may fall just short.

Paul Warne stayed on as Millers manager despite the club's relegation in 2017 and led them back to the second tier at the first attempt.

Despite the restrictions of a tight budget Rotherham have been competitive, losing only eight of their 22 matches.
