QPR v West Brom

Sky viewers will be able to catch the QPR v West Brom game on the red button, but home followers may understandably choose to look away.

Steve McClaren's side have won seven Sky Bet Championship matches at Loftus Road this season, but they have been defeated in their last five outings on their own turf, a run that goes back to December 26.

They showed little up front in their FA Cup fifth-round defeat to Watford on Friday and they have to be concerned after conceding four goals to both Preston and Birmingham in their last two home matches.

The visiting Baggies will see the match as a great opportunity to make up ground in an intriguing promotion battle.

Darren Moore's Albion will be a point off the top two if they can claim victory in London and their away form suggests that should be within their capabilities.

West Brom have won seven of their last eight matches on their travels - the blip came in a 2-1 reverse at Blackburn - and they have scored at least twice in six of those matches.

Leaders Norwich are the only team in the Championship who have scored more goals than Moore's boys and there is a good chance they can claim their tenth away win of the season.

Recommendation
West Brom
2pts 6-5 general

Notts County v Newport

Newport's memorable run in the FA Cup was ended by Manchester City on Saturday, but the Exiles' poor away form in Sky Bet League Two has not provoked as many headlines.

Michael Flynn's team claimed the notable cup scalps of Leicester and Middlesbrough, but they have lost their last seven on the road, conceding 17 goals in that dismal run.

Newport have 43 points and should be safe from any relegation concerns, but their last away win came at Tranmere on September 22 and they head to Meadow Lane to face Notts County, who have breathed life into their survival bid.

The Magpies are two points from safety having drawn with leaders Lincoln and beaten the promotion-chasing pair of Forest Green and Mansfield in their last three matches.

Neal Ardley's team should be able to push away from trouble and the motivation to move out of the bottom two could spur them on to another victory.

Recommendation
Notts County
2pts 8-5 Betfred

Portsmouth v Bristol Rovers

A run of six matches without a win has detached Portsmouth from the top two in the Sky Bet League One promotion race and they could face a tough evening against resurgent Bristol Rovers.

Pompey have failed to keep up with the relentless pace that Luton and Barnsley continue to set and Rovers should be full of confidence having suffered just one defeat in their last nine games.

The Gas have taken ten points from their last four away games, but they have drawn four of their last nine matches, so it may pay to take the double-chance option.

Recommendation
Bristol Rovers or draw double chance
