Colombia v Venezuela

Where to watch

BBC iPlayer & red button, 10pm Thursday

Best bet

Over 2.5 Colombia goals
1pt 6-4 bet365

Match preview

Colombia have so much firepower to call upon that they could take Covid-hit Venezuela apart in Goiania in Group B of the Copa America.

Los Cafeteros edged out Ecuador 1-0 in their opener and have attacking resources galore to call upon second time round. Expect at least one of Alfredo Morales, Luis Muriel or Daniel Zapata – all on the bench at the weekend – to be drafted in.

Venezuela have no such luck with options following a Covid outbreak on the eve of their first game, which meant a weakened team were beaten 3-0 by Brazil.

Minus the likes of Tomas Rincon, they started well enough but faded badly. Colombia are plenty short enough at the prices so take a punt on them running up the score, particularly in the second half when Venezuela could be running on empty.

Brazil v Peru

Where to watch

BBC iPlayer & red button, 1am Thursday night

Best bet

Brazil & under 3.5 goals
1pt 5-6 Paddy Power

Match preview

Peru are the only team to have found the net against Brazil in their last eight matches and they can put up more of a fight against Tite's team than Venezuela did.

In six World Cup qualifiers over the past few months, the Brazilians have shipped only two goals - and both were scored by Peru in a 4-2 loss in Lima.

The only problem this time is that three of their star frontmen – record scorer Paulo Guerrero, Jefferson Farfan and Edison Flores – are out which probably means a more pragmatic approach from Los Incas.

Brazil weren't completely foot perfect in seeing off a weak Venezuela and will probably find this more of a challenge.
