1 Rafael Nadal is looking dominant at Wimbledon again
There’s a swagger in his step, a determined look on his face and he is bullying opponents into submission once again. Rafael Nadal is back.

There was a fascinating discussion between enlightened tennis literati on Twitter in the wake of the Spaniard collecting his tenth Roland Garros title as to whether he would be a force at Wimbledon.

Many said that just because he was back at the top on clay, it did not follow that he would carry it over on grass.

Of course, Nadal has yet to meet a meaningful opponent at Wimbledon, but it would be nice to think that those who argued that the fast green courts would not be for him have silently admonished themselves.

Marin Cilic, Andy Murray, Roger Federer or Novak Djokovic – the bigger tests are to come for Nadal. But punters should know that the Majorcan used to batter Murray at Wimbledon.

2 Victoria Azarenka is back in Slam running
Heather Watson struggled when hitting in front against Victoria Azarenka and the Belarusian, a 3-6 6-1 6-4 winner against the Briton, is in contention for a first Wimbledon crown.

Credit to Azarenka, she has returned promisingly after having her first child and where she looked vulnerable in Majorca last week, she looks a different proposition in London.

Next up for Vika is a clash with second seed Simona Halep, who will probably need to be on her game to progress.

3 Benoit Paire looks to be finally getting it right
There are some punters who refuse to back Benoit Paire because the Frenchman is such a liability.

But Paire is clearly doing something right at Wimbledon and took Jerzy Janowicz apart in a 6-2 7-6 6-3 win that propelled him into week two.
