New tournament title can go the way of talented Kyrgios
ATP Chengdu Open
Nick Kyrgios has had something of a mixed campaign, but the hugely talented Australian could stamp his mark on the inaugural Chengdu Open in style.
Dominic Thiem is the top seed for the Chinese tournament, but while the consistent Austrian has done nothing wrong the feeling is that there is still plenty more to come from Kyrgios, who is blessed with bags of potential.
After a first-round bye, the Canberra native may not have it easy. Kevin Anderson or Jordan Thompson could prove a trappy opener, while Viktor Troicki or Marcos Baghdatis in the last eight would be no pushover.
