Towards rear of midfield, headway after 6th, squeezed up leaving back straight, weakened home bend, tailed off (jockey said regarding running and riding that his instructions were to sit middle to back, get the gelding jumping and travelling and keep him on the bridle for as long as possible as he tends to find very little off the bridle. He stated he was happy with his position until he was hampered and having given him a push turning into the home straight he felt the gelding had nothing more to give. The trainer's rep confirmed the instructions and stated that the gelding is very keen at home and has been in his previous races) (op 100/1 tchd 66/1)
