He further added that the gelding was fresh, so he tried to get him to settle, dropping him in down the back straight. He was able to get a breather into him on the final bend where the gelding then ran on through tired horses; trainer confirmed these instructions adding that the gelding has had a lot of problems, has had a long lay off, and has been a very difficult horse to train) (op 9/1)
