He added that the filly never travelled throughout the final circuit despite his urgings and did not run on when placed under maximum pressure approaching the three furlong marker. The trainer confirmed the instructions but conceded that he felt through Mr Thomas relative inexperience, with this being only his second ride under Rules, that he had surrendered too much ground in the early stages by excessively restraining Four Plus and became detached from the remainder of the field.)
