1 (9)
3 90 t 118
b c Fusaichi Pegasus (USA) - Crown Crest (Mill Reef)
Began nicely, slotted into box seat out back, had a dream run with muddling tempo, poised to strike 2 lengths back on turning, switched out and went to them easily over 1f out, drew away under hands and heels for another easy win
2 (4)
4 90 t 114
bb c Sendawar (IRE) - Diyawara (IRE) (Doyoun)
Even getaway, didn't have early pace and posted 3 wide in midfield 5 lengths away, always working without cover gradually improved on bend to be 3 lengths down, stuck on gamely and made plenty of ground in straight, extra distance suits
3 (11) ¾ [2¼]
4 90 113
gr g Scenic (IRE) - Twain (AUS) (Kenvain)
Fastest into stride, rolled on to assume expected role as pacemaker, dictated terms 1 length clear at a leisurely tempo, still held advantage at bend and wound up nicely, kicked hard but found out by trip if out, stuck on well for 3rd
4 (13) ½ [2¾]
4 90 b 112
b g Almutawakel I - Wauwinet (NZ) (Bassenthwaite)
Lacked speed from outset and restrained to near last, raced 2 wide 8 lengths from them in mid-section, still well back tracking 3 wide on bend, angled widest in straight and made many lengths final furlong to make frame, solid effort
5 (12) [4]
4 90 t 109
b c Redoute's Choice (AUS) - Lanadee (AUS) (Snaadee)
Reasonable to begin, caught wide early but able to slot in 2 wide 3 to 4 lengths back by mid-point, had easy time thereafter and tracked eventual winner on bend, angled out and chased solidly but run ended final furlong
6 (8) shd [4]
4 90 b 109
b g Made Of Gold (USA) -
Moderate jump, lacked pace as usual and drifted back to tail, raced 3 wide with cover 7 lengths from leaders, made a 4 wide run on the bend, didn't show much dash but continued to make ground in straight to be nearest on line
7 (1) shd [4¼]
4 90 t 109
b g Montjeu (IRE) - The Lions Roar (NZ) (Western Symphony)
Began with rest, held a position 3 back on rails 4 lengths off pace, not asked in mid-section, travelled well on bend but awkwardly placed making a run turning, a little flat footed when they sprinted but kept on evenly final furlong
8 (5) [5¾]
4 90 t 106
br c Irgun (USA) - Badiya (USA) (Sir Ivor)
Moderate beginning, settled behind midfield 7 lengths back on rails in a 2 wide spot, always well back and spent little to bend, back between horses on turning, steadily made ground over 1f out without really threatening
9 (2) shd [5¾]
4 90 106
br c Dansili - Pure (Slip Anchor)
Fast into stride, didn't have enough pace to hold the early lead, took a trail and had run of the race behind the leader, right there but didn't have turn of foot in straight, sprinted and just plugged concluding stages
10 (3) shd [6]
4 90 106
b g Blackfriars (AUS) - Vainquer (FR) (Bletchley Park)
Out with line, took up a midfield role 4 lengths back in 2 wide line, had a cosy trip to turn, pushed along to improve into straight, found little when pressured and only managed one speed in run to line
11 (7) nk [6¼]
4 90 h 106
bb g Octagonal (NZ) - Establishment (AUS) (Star Watch)
Moderate jump, soon sharing tail 8 lengths from front runners, lobbed along at rear to bend (not suited by tempo), angled wider turning in, lacked a finishing burst in straight and only got past a few tired runners late - ran in HK as Alpha Mail
12 (10) [9¾]
4 90 tv 98
b g Quest For Fame - Spirit (AUS) (Danehill)
Tardy getaway, settled worse than midfield on the rails 6 lengths from leaders, not asked in mid-section, pace didn't favour and still well back to bend, kept to rails but offered little and just battled to the line
13 (14) [12½]
4 90 t 93
b c Sadler's Wells (USA) - Commanche Belle (Shirley Heights)
Reasonable break, assumed spot at leader's girth, suited by the slow tempo throughout, moved up to challenge on bend and still there turning in, folded tamely when sprint went on and dropped right out final furlong
