Towards rear, good progress in 7th after 3 out, chased leaders in 4th next, kept on well under pressure, finished strongly run-in, just denied (jockey said, regarding the running and riding, that his instructions were to jump off three quarters way back in the field and hold onto the horse and get home as how she would handle the testing going was unknown. In the race, he waited with her as instructed, she made a mistake at the third last hurdle, gave a heave and gurgled in-running. In the straight she ran on well to finish second. He felt he had taken every permissable measure to obtain his best possible placing; trainer's representative confirmed the instructions given and he said that this mare has had wind problems and was operated on for her wind. He expressed himself happy with the ride given)
