Took keen hold early, tracked leaders, smooth headway and every chance 3 out, ridden and edged right before next, kept on from last, not reach winner (op 4/9)
Not fluent on occasions, held up, shaken up and outpaced before 3 out, soon weakened (jockey said regarding running and riding that his instructions were to jump off behind the leaders, get the gelding settled and finish as close as possible. He added that the gelding jumped well when he met the hurdles on a good stride but he found it difficult when the stride was wrong. He added that he had asked for an effort round the bottom bend but the leaders had quickened away and had caught him flat-footed. He further added that he continued to ask the gelding for an effort all the way to the line, but in his opinion, his finishing position was flattered by the third, which was weakening. The trainer stated that the ride given was in accordance with her instructions.)
