Monday

Quid Pro Quo has not come out of second gear in two hurdling starts and bids to maintain his unbeaten record in the Prestige Safety Fire Safety Compliance Novices' Hurdle (3.00) at Southwell.

Windsor hosts its customary Monday evening card, which is headlined by a qualifier for the Windsor Sprint Series (6.05) and features the first and second from last year's final, Capote's Dream and Treacherous.

Wolverhampton and Ballinrobe also host action on a busy start to the week.

Tuesday

Neil Callan won on his sole ride at Royal Ascot last week and the Irish jockey heads to Newbury with a 26 per cent strike-rate from his last 34 rides. He has two chances in Berkshire, including the debuting There's The Door in the RacingTV EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes (6.35).

There is action in the afternoon from Brighton and Beverley, before Newton Abbot and Sligo join Newbury for an action-packed evening.

Wednesday

Naas's card is headlined by the Al Shira'aa Racing Irish EBF Naas Oaks Trial (7.10) and all four previous winning yards could be represented including Aidan O'Brien, who has won the race a record five times.

Britain's action is spearheaded by Salisbury's competitive seven-race card and the promising Muraad, a return winner at Newbury last month, could be out again for trainer Owen Burrows in the Havana Grey Standing At Whitsbury Manor Handicap (3.15).

There is also racing from Carlisle, Bath, Kempton and Worcester.

Thursday

Newmarket's second meeting on the July course is headlined by the Feature Space Fraud Fighter Handicap (3.45) and the unbeaten Shining Blue could be among the field. Sea Tsarina, who made an impressive winning debut at Yarmouth, features among the entries for the Price Bailey Fillies' Novice Stakes (3.10).

The first of three days of action at Newcastle kicks off, in the lead up to the Northumberland Plate, while there is further racing form Nottingham, Leicester and Hamilton.

Friday

The second day at Newcastle features the Group 3 Hoppings Fillies' Stakes (7.10) and My Astra, a 12-length winner of an Ayr Listed race in May, is likely to be in warm order should she line up.

Potential challengers include Rogue Millennium and Potapova, while the Gosforth Park Cup Handicap (6.35) provides fans of big-field competitive sprints with a complicated puzzle.

There is also Group racing at the Curragh in the form of the Group 2 Comer Group International Curragh Cup (6.43), a race Aidan O'Brien has won six times in the last nine years.

Doncaster, Yarmouth, Cartmel (jumps), Newmarket and Chester are the other venues on a non-stop day of racing.

Saturday

There is Group action everywhere you turn but all eyes will be fixed on the Group 1 Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby (3.45) where Westover could bid for redemption after a nightmare passage in the Derby.

He was ahead of Stone Age that day, who is likely to reoppose, with other big potential challengers being Cash, Piz Badile and Hannibal Barca.

The Group 2 Railway Stakes (3.05) has been a breeding ground for Group 1 winners over the years and rounds off the Curragh's Group action alongside the Group 3 International Stakes (4.20).

The William Hill Northumberland Plate Handicap (3.30) at Newcastle is one of the big betting races of the year and the 20-runner cavalry charge will provide another spectacle alongside the Group 3 William Hill Chipchase Stakes (2.25).

A third day of action on Newmarket's July course is spearheaded by the Group 3 Criterion Stakes (3.15), won last year by Glorious Journey, while the Fred Archer Stakes (2.40) and Empress Fillies' Stakes (2.05) provide further pattern action on an already packed day.

The other meetings on a scintillating day of racing are Windsor, Chester, Doncaster and Lingfield, which hosts an all-weather card.

Sunday

It is all eyes on the Curragh once more with the Group 1 Pretty Polly Stakes (3.45) providing an eye-watering list of potential entries. The British have won this race 11 times since the turn of the century and they could have a very strong hand once more.

Ed Walker's Group 1-winning Dreamloper could be set to lead the British charge but the William Haggas-trained Purplepay and Roger Varian's Teona could also provide potent threats.

The 2019 renewal of the Group 2 Airlie Stud Stakes (2.10) went the way of subsequent Group 1 winner Albigna and we should be on the look out for another potential star in this year's line-up.

The only Flat meeting in Britain on Sunday is hosted by Windsor, with two jumps meetings at Uttoxeter and Cartmel bringing the week to a close.
