What's on this week: Dusart to return before big cards at Kempton and Warwick
Monday
One of the more interesting runners in the early part of the week appears in the opening race at Taunton with the highly regarded Jpr One, a debut winner before going close at Cheltenham, making his third start for Colin Tizzard in the novice hurdle (1.00).
At the day's other jumps meeting at Ludlow, Ladbrokes Trophy fifth Demachine carries some strong form, including last season as a novice, into the 3m1½f handicap chase (1.15).
A twilight meeting at Wolverhampton, where a three-runner conditions race (6.00) featuring Fox Tal, Kenzai Warrior and Dark Pine tops the bill, completes the action.
Tuesday
Doncaster stages a decent card and the novice handicap chase (1.40) promises to be a cracker with recent winners Our Power and The Golden Rebel taking on some rivals looking to get back on track such as Beakstown and Sam Barton.
There is also competitive action at Exeter, chiefly the 3m handicap chase (2.30) in which Morning Spirit carries top weight, while Southwell's twilight card features the unbeaten Harry Three making his handicap debut in the 7.20.
Wednesday
The exciting Dusart is set to return to action at Leicester for his first run over fences in the 2m6½f novice chase (1.50), against two rivals in Sail Away and Barnaviddaun.
The Nicky Henderson-trained seven-year-old, a half-brother to Simonsig, missed last season's Cheltenham Festival but made it to Aintree, where he was third behind Belfast Banter in the Grade 1 Top Novices' Hurdle.
The card also features a Listed mares' chase (3.20), for which last month's Aintree and Doncaster winner Zambella is entered.
There are two all-weather meetings – Lingfield in the afternoon and an evening card at Kempton.
Thursday
Glamorgan trainer Christian Williams clearly has Catterick's North Yorkshire Grand National (2.40) on his mind as he has Strictlyadancer, Uno Mas and Defuture Is Bright among the 13 entries, which also include last month's Lincolnshire National winner Sidi Ismael.
Donald McCain could run exciting novice hurdler A Different Kind, who is unbeaten in four starts, on the Catterick undercard, while he is always a trainer to follow at Bangor, which stages the day's other jumps meeting.
All-weather fixtures at Newcastle, where there is an All-Weather Championships fast-track qualifier, and Chelmsford, in the twilight slot, complete the schedule.
Friday
The Chatteris Fen Juvenile Hurdle (2.30) at Huntingdon is always an informative contest and the entries include debut winner Parliament Hill for Olly Murphy, and Genuflex and Silver Shade for the resurgent Milton Harris, who does so well with juveniles.
Sedgefield's fixture demands close attention to with Galileo Silver and Dr Sanderson among the possibles for the 2m3f handicap chase (2.20).
Lingfield and Wolverhampton also stage meetings in Britain, while Dundalk puts on the first fixture of the week in Ireland.
Saturday
Kempton's Lanzarote Hurdle day fixture offers boosted prize-money of £255,000 following a sponsorship deal with bookmakers Coral. The feature race is now worth £100,000, while the Grade 2 Silviniaco Conti Chase – a race Paul Nicholls has won for the last two years – rises to £80,000.
There is a feast of Graded action from Warwick featuring the Classic Chase, which was won last season by Notachance, the Hampton Novices' Chase and Ballymore Leamington Novices' Hurdle.
The supporting jumps action is provided by Wetherby and Fairyhouse, and there are two Flat cards to enjoy from Lingfield and Chelmsford.
Sunday
Punchestown stages the Grade 2 Moscow Flyer Hurdle, a race in which Dreal Deal sprung a surprise last year, and the Grade 3 Killiney Novice Chase, which was won by Envoi Allen 12 months ago.
There is also a jumps meeting at Kelso and some all-weather action from Southwell.
