Monday

Cheltenham is still on the mind as Plumpton hosts the first of its five novice chases that has a £60,000 bonus if the winner goes on to win over fences at the festival in March.

With Leicester the latest meeting lost to the rain, the only two other meetings are on the all-weather at Wolverhampton before a late afternoon start under the lights at Southwell.

Tuesday

Newbury hosts a gallops morning to promote the Ladbrokes Trophy on November 30 and a bonus is expected with Nicky Henderson planning to bring along Buveur D'Air for a spin.

Lingfield's jumps card features the Flat Jockeys Can Jump Handicap Hurdle (2.00) with former jump jockeys Trevor Whelan and Dougie Costello booked for rides. Fakenham and Fairyhouse host the other afternoon jumps action.

John Gosden, assured of retaining his champion trainers' title, is still taking the sheets off interesting newcomers, with the well-bred Agreed debuting in the 5.45 at Chelmsford.

The Listed Prix Herod (2.00) at Chantilly has two-year-olds trained by Ralph Beckett, Mick Channon, John Quinn and Joseph O'Brien.

Wednesday

The Tote Ten To Follow in association with the Racing Post opens for entries for those chasing the £250,000 prize-money.

On the track, Warwick has attracted a bumper entry with the Highflyer Bloodstock Novices' Chase (2.10) having some classy contenders, including Angels Breath, who was last seen finishing third to Reserve Tank in the Grade 1 Mersey Novice Hurdle at Aintree's Grand National meeting in April after finishing seventh in the Supreme at Cheltenham.

Hexham and Chepstow also race over the jumps with all-weather racing at Dundalk and Kempton, where Triumph Hurdle winner Pentland Hills holds an entry in the 32Red.com Handicap (7.10) over a mile and a half.

Thursday

A busy day with meetings at Thurles, Market Rasen and Wincanton over jumps and Newcastle and Chelmsford on the Flat.

Thurles has an intriguing Listed chase (12.50) with three entries rated over 160 including Monalee, runner-up in an RSA Chase and Albert Bartlett Hurdle as well as holding a decision over Punchestown Gold Cup winner Kemboy.

Friday

Ascot begins its two-day meeting with free entry into the Queen Anne enclosure for a day billed as 'Discover Racehorse Ownership' with behind-the-scenes insight.

Catterick and Ffos Las also race over the jumps with Newcastle holding another card on the all-weather.

Saturday

Another Saturday to savour with Bristol De Mai aiming for his Betfair Chase (3.00) hat-trick at Haydock. While that should be the centre of attention being the Grade 1 of the day, the spotlight is likely to be at Ascot 55 minutes earlier if Altior lines up against Ascot king Cyrname for the Christy 1965 Chase (2.05), a Grade 2 over two miles five furlongs.

Altior is set to test his Ladbrokes King George credentials as he looks to extend his winning sequence to 20. He steps into the unknown over three furlongs further than he's ever gone before.

Huntingdon completes the jumps fixtures with Lingfield and Wolverhampton racing on the all-weather.

Sunday

Navan claims the day's feature meeting with the Ladbrokes Troytown Handicap Chase (2.30), which has the Neil Mulholland-trained Ladbrokes Trophy entry Shantou Village among the possibles after his unlucky exit in the Kerry National when rider Robbie Power's reins broke after a last-fence mistake when in contention.

Exeter and Uttoxeter complete an all-jumps afternoon.
