Trainer Anthony McCann has heaped praise on the remarkable Togoville, who is now out in the clear as the most successful horse in the history of all-weather racing at Dundalk following his latest heroics on Friday night, weeks after surviving a near-death experience with colic and almost being lost to the stable through being claimed.

The all-weather legend recorded his 14th success at Dundalk on Friday – from 54 course outings stretching back to 2014 – for his third win in succession, a hat-trick completed under Conor McGovern.

However, things could have been so different for the 11-year-old, who will forever be remembered as the horse who provided the late Pat Smullen with his final winner in the saddle.
