Tylicki achieves 'milestone' moment on horseback
Madeleine Tylicki has hailed the "milestone" moment of seeing her brother Freddy on horseback for the first time since he suffered paralysis from the waist down in a fall at Kempton in October.
On Wednesday night Freddy Tylicki, along with his sister and mother Irene, visited a riding school near the London spinal cord injury centre in Stanmore where he is based.
"It was organised by the rehab centre and two physios came along," Madeleine Tylicki explained. "It was a milestone to see him back on a horse again. My mother and I were delighted and I'd say it was a really good experience for Freddy."
The trip to the riding school took place two days after he had been special guest at the annual Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff awards, and presented the main prize, Employee of the Year, to Terry Doherty of Watership Down Stud.
"It was a really good day at the riding school, and actually a really good week on the back of the Godolphin awards," Madeleine Tylicki continued.
"I was very proud of Freddy and huge congratulations should go to Godolphin as it was an amazing night."
