National Trainers Federation chief executive Rupert Arnold said on Thursday that a clampdown on hiring workers from abroad would hit the racing industry more than most.

Arnold was speaking in the wake of home secretary Amber Rudd's proposal to force companies to publish details of foreign workers.

Arnold said: "The views we've heard from the Conservative Party conference this week have been concerning for all businesses in Britain that are looking to recruit people with the right skills for the roles they require.
