Paul Townend, who said on Monday he will be back in action this weekend, has admitted he was gutted to miss Asterion Forlonge's eagerly awaited showdown with Envoi Allen on Sunday.

Ireland's champion jockey took a heavy fall from Youmdor at Fairyhouse on Saturday and although he rode Manitopark AA in a later race, soreness around his shoulders forced him to sit out the Killiney Novice Chase and the rest of the action at Punchestown.
