Paul Townend hails majestic Monkfish the 'perfect' racehorse after dream weekend
Paul Townend has described the performance from the Willie Mullins team at the Dublin Racing Festival as "breathtaking" and the three-time champion jockey believes Monkfish is developing into the perfect racehorse.
Townend said the way the weekend worked out was beyond his wildest dreams as he won five of the eight Grade 1 races on offer.
He was not willing to single out one particular performance as his highlight but was glowing in his praise of Monkfish, who won the Flogas Novice Chase by 11 lengths and is now 8-11 with Betfair and Paddy Power for the Festival Novices' Chase at Cheltenham.
