Three runners to note under the lights at Dundalk and Wolverhampton
The start of Cheltenham's November meeting was the main event this afternoon, but it's an all-weather encore this evening with meetings at Dundalk and Wolverhampton. Here are three interesting runners to keep an eye on
Summer Icon
6.45 Wolverhampton
Although this filly has not had a win since the start of the year, she has been running well and might be able to get her head in front again. That victory in January was achieved over tonight's course and distance and she has been third in Listed company three times from her last four outings, including at Lingfield last time out.
Metatron
7.45 Wolverhampton
It is a little bit surprising this colt is not favourite to back up his debut course-and-distance victory, although he does have to concede weight all round for that effort. The son of Dark Angel looked really good when powering clear by seven lengths, and that form has some substance as runner-up Repaupo then filled the same position behind the exciting Headman.
Nimitz
8.00 Dundalk
This course regular can be relied on to run his race, and bids for a fourth win at the track this evening. He does need a career-best from a mark of 82, but should be in there pitching at the end.
