Three runners to note at Wolverhampton tonight
The Flat turf season started this afternoon at Doncaster, but if you are looking for a bet tonight it is the all-weather action at Wolverhampton that provides the action. Here are three runners it could be worth noting.
Harbour Approach
6.15
This three-year-old made two starts for Dermot Weld last season, and the form of his last start when fourth at Tipperary is interesting.
He was beaten by the Aidan O'Brien-trained trio of Zabriskie, Spanish Point and Saracen Knight, who will likely go on to better things this season.
Although he was ultimately beaten a long way that day, this race is probably not as tough and any money around for him on debut for Ian Williams would look significant.
Jazirat
6.45
Charlie Appleby is in tremendous form, with only one of his last ten runners failing to finish in the first two, with six winners.
Among the recent glut of victors is Jazirat, who was an easy winner at Chelmsford last time. The three-year-old takes on Vale Of Kent again, with Mark Johnston's runner coming out on top when the pair last met.
Jazirat seems to be improving with racing, and given the form of the Appleby yard, is fancied to turn the tables.
Catheadans Fury
8.45
An opening mark of 58 does not look too harsh for this filly on her handicap debut, and she has gone the right way in her three previous starts.
If she can run to a similar sort of level as her last start when runner-up at Lingfield, then she should be in the mix. The form of that race could be boosted earlier on the card, as Geetanjali, who was behind Catheadans Fury, contests the 7.15.
